About Turf Dawgs, Inc.

Turf Dawgs, Inc. is entering its sixth season of operations. It was started as a small part-time operation by Jeff Hurst (The Turf Dawg) and his wife Kari Jo, and was the result of a business plan completed for one of Jeff's college classes. The name was concocted over a conversation with friends, Kay Longtin gets the credit, and the concept has grown from there.

In June of 2004, Jeff was approached by Tommy D of Tommy D's Yard Service. Jeff's experience in the industry came from working a couple of summers for his company. Tom and Jeff remained casual friends and would see each other out working in the same neighborhood. Tommy D had made a decision to become a yogi, and wanted to know if Turf Dawgs Inc. was interested in purchasing his company.

As of August 1, 2004 Turf Dawgs, Inc. purchased Tommy D's Yard Service. The rapid growth has been fantastic and with the addition of winter services, Turf Dawgs, Inc. has since become a full-time, year-round business. Turf Dawgs, Inc. has been operated with integrity since its inception. We strive for an all-too-rare concept. To do high-quality, detailed work for you and to do what we say we will do. The goal is to have a business that will provide a steady income for Jeff and his family as well as his employees by developing lasting relationships with our customers based on trust and mutual respect.
